.....After a year on the backburner and a downgrade from lathe cut 7 inch to a home-dubbed split tape, these horrible anthems of lofi-raw-grind-surf-noise are finally being released upon an unsuspecting public....

The Michael Crafter tracks were recorded in a warehouse rented for a uni student's film in November 2012. MxC were recruited to be a "raucous punk band" in a live scene, so of course the boys interpreted that description to mean "get really fucked up, play like shit and abuse everyone".
Half the recordings are straight from the sound desk, and half are straight from Tex's iPhone 3. Neither were mixed.

The Kangaroo Kebab tracks provide an excellent document of an extremely short lived and unpopular band that were best enjoyed live. They hailed from all over Sydney, yet managed to piss off grindcore elitists nation wide. These chaps were an odd bunch that possessed a diverse array of talent that didn't always compliment one another musically, and yet somehow, they have managed to appear on splits with bands of much higher profile; this live tape with mince lords Michael Crafter being no exception.
Here you have recordings from some of the (first and) last ever Kangaroo Kebab shows at Cosmo's, Marrickville and Blackwire Records, Annandale. May they be celebrated forever on the timeless medium of sweet warm cassette tape.

STKD010-CS is limited to 75 copies only.
